Kauri Lodge is a spacious, self contained holiday apartment or bed & breakfast accommodation situated 13kms from Cambridge in the lovely Karapiro farming district.
Our alternative accommodation is the Studio Unit - which is a fully self contained unit, separate from the main Lodge.
Your hosts, David and Shona McLennan will do their best to make sure your stay in the Waikato is an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Local Attractions
We are close to Lake Karapiro, home of our Olympic rowers, and an easy 15 minute drive to Hobbiton Movie Set, of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
There are many other attractions 15 minutes to 1 hour away from Kauri Lodge. These include our beautiful "town of trees" Cambridge, Glow Worm Kayak Tours, Hamilton Gardens, Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, Rotorua, Tauranga, Mt Maunganui Beach, Blue Springs, Maungatautari Sanctuary Mountain, Raglan Beach, plus many more.
Why not stay 2 or 3 days and enjoy them all without having to change your accommodation!!
Whether you are looking for a self-contained apartment or a bed and breakfast in the beautiful, rural Waikato countryside, Kauri Lodge Karapiro is the place for you. Cambridge is a beautiful “town of trees” and has many attractions including cafes and restaurants. It is an easy drive to Mystery Creek Event Centre - home of the National Field Days.
